Burn The Floor – The Rebel Tour runs at the Baxter Theatre from Thursday August 8 to Saturday August 17. The original concept of Burn The Floor grew from an electric display of ballroom and Latin dancing at Sir Elton John’s 50th birthday party in London in March 1997. This is where producer Harley Medcalf discovered the ballroom dance world and its charismatic people, with their intensity, commitment and discipline. Burn The Floor opened in England in 1999. A decade later, after visiting 30 countries and over 160 cities worldwide, it achieved its dream, to bring ballroom to Broadway – appearing at the Longacre Theatre in New York, followed by two seasons in London’s West End. Tickets cost from R180 to R310 through Webtickets or the Baxter Theatre at 0861 915 800.
