The annual Just Nuisance Day commemoration has long been an institution on the Simon’s Town social calendar and will take place on Saturday March 28 with registration from 9am on Long Beach. The dog walk to Jubilee Square, which will be led by the navy band, will start at 10am, and there will be a prize-giving for best dressed owner and dog and a Just Nuisance lookalike at 11.30am. The cutting of the birthday cake will take place at noon and there will be a photo booth available from 11am to 2pm. This annual event is named after Just Nuisance, the giant Great Dane with a larger than life personality and the first dog ever to be officially enrolled in the Royal Navy.
