A 30-year-old man died of a stab wound to the chest in Candlewood Street, Bonteheuwel, on Sunday February 5 just after 7pm.
Bishop Lavis SAPS spokeswoman Captain Marie Louw, said a 38-year-old man from Kalksteenfontein was arrested for the murder of Franklin Isaacs after he handed himself over to the police.
Mr Isaacs died in the ambulance on his way to hospital, and police have opened a murder docket.
