Last week, Blossom and Heatherdale primary schools took part in the first Phendulani Quiz to be held in Cape Town. Hosted by Westcott Primary School in Diep River, seven teams from six schools competed for prizes of books and cash by answering book-related questions from Marj Brown, the founder of the quiz, who is a history teacher in Johannesburg. The winners of each category received books, while participants and audience members won spot prizes of R10.
