Council to elect new CT mayor

The City of Cape Town’s Council will meet tomorrow to elect a new executive mayor for the City of Cape Town following the resignation of Patricia de Lille.

Ms De Lille left her position as mayor on Wednesday October 31 after seven years.

Tomorrow’s meeting will start at 10am in the Council Chamber in the Cape Town CBD.

Meanwhile, Dan Plato was sworn in as a councillor of the City of Cape Town on Thursday November 1.

Now that Mr Plato is a councillor, he is expected to be elected as executive mayor of the City of Cape Town tomorrow.
