The Junior Rosa Choir, a diverse children’s group that sings in three languages, takes to the stage this Saturday July 6 for its first full concert, Dare to Dream, at the Methodist Church Hall on the corner of Innis and Ottery roads, Wynberg, from 3pm to 5pm. Formed at the end of 2015, the Junior Rosa Choir project, part of the Cape Cultural Collective, brings together children of 10 to 14 from across cultural, religious and geographical divides to sing together and to foster unity and understanding. The children are from Langa, Manenberg, Kalksteenfontein and other areas on the Cape Flats. The Rosa adult choir and a dance group from the Wesley Practicing School will also perform at the event. Entry is free, but donations are welcome. Refreshments will be on sale.
