Disabled group gets free HIV tests

Nicolene Carolus, from the Muslim Aids Programme, helped with the tests.

The Muslim Aids Programme in Heideveld teamed up with the Long Walk to Freedom Disabled Group on Thursday January 21 to give members of the group free HIV tests.

Clifford Minnaar, front, Fuad McCraw, middle, and Mark Lavin, right, had HIV tests done.

A tent was pitched outside the Heideveld house of Clifford Minnaar, the founder of the disabled group, to ensure confidential testing and counselling. Food and vegetables were also shared among the group.
