Two men have been detained after they were found in possession of illegal firearms in Manenberg this morning.
Metro Police officers, who were patrolling the area, spotted a silver Toyota on Duinefontein Road.
They pulled it over and requested permission to search the vehicle.
There were two men in the backseat and they were carrying a gas gun and the other a .38 special revolver with no serial number and six rounds of ammunition.
The two, aged 19 and 23, were taken to the Manenberg police station.
