The Cape Town Hindu Seva Samaj teamed up with the Lions Club of Athlone, and ward councillor Sharon Cottle and her DA branch members of Ward 58, as well as Ward 49 councillor, Rashid Adams, to distribute 113 food parcels to those in need. The Cape Town Hindu Seva Samaj was the major contributor to the food parcels, and the packing and distribution were done by Athlone residents. It will be distributed to St Francis Children’s Home, as well as residents in Langa, Kewtown, Bokmakierie, Bridgetown and Alicedale. Another distribution will be done because of the extended lockdown.Â
