In last week’s story “New MJC president inaugurated”, (Athlone News, June 8), we incorrectly swopped the captions of the pictures of the new MJC president, Sheikh Irafaan Abrahams, and former MJC president, Maulana Ihsaan Hendricks. Sheikh Abrahams also did not take up a post at Portlands Mosque as indicated in the article. Sheikh Ebrahim Gabriels accepted a post at the Portlands Mosque in Mitchell’s Plain.
Sheikh Abrahams plans to go to Brandvlei and not Brandfontein as reported. The Athlone News regrets the errors.
