A 16-year-old boy was killed in what is believed to have been a gang-related shooting in Manenberg early on Saturday September 9.
According to Manenberg SAPS spokesman Captain Ian Bennett, the teen’s body was found in Renoster Walk with multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
On the same day, at about 6am, a 29-year-old man was shot and killed in Manenberg. Police say the man was on his way to work and was waiting for friends in Seine Walk when he was shot in the back of the head.
A 20-year-old man was stabbed to death after he chased a mugger who had robbed a girl in Barend Road, Lansdowne, on Monday September 4, at 4.45pm.
The good Samaritan caught the mugger, but a second man appeared and stabbed him in the chest. Both suspects ran towards Hanover Park.

A 28-year-old man was shot in the face after two men approached him in Humber Street, Manenberg, on Monday September 4. He tried to run for help but collapsed and died from his injuries. Police say he was a member of a local gang.
There is a reward of up to
R10 000, say police, for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators.
