Regarding the letters in the Athlone News on July 3 (“Telkom Trolley responses”) I was surprised that three of the four writers received good service from Telkom.
My own negative experience with Telkom was that of William J of Vredehoek – enough to drive any sane person to road rage!
I subsequently learnt of a Telkom office called the “Escalation Centre”. Send them an email at EscCentre@telkom.co.za in which you set out your problems. They endeavour to acknowledge receipt within 48 hours and resolve your complaint within 14 days.
I had my billing issues resolved in three days.
If still not satisfied, you can escalate the complaint to ICASA (firstname.lastname@example.org).
