Help recycle to make a difference

Sharon Jones, Faith Hope and Love Foundation, Belthorn Estate

The Athlone News published our story on February 19, 2014 with the headline “Recycling to make a difference in community”.

Three years on, the Faith Hope and Love Foundation would like to thank the Wheatfield Bowling Club for graciously agreeing to have the paper recycling igloo on the club’s premises.

A heartfelt thank you to the Athlone News community for their support and I would like to encourage them to continue to do so.

The Faith Hope and Love Foundation is Christian-based and cares for the emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being of vulnerable people.

All proceeds from the recycled paper is used to fund a soup kitchen in Gugulethu.

I am urging the community to come and support this initiative, as the organisation desperately needs funds to sustain the soup kitchen.

My appeal goes out to the Belthorn community, small businesses, and the readers of Athlone News to support the paper drive, by dropping off their paper at the Wheatfield Bowling Club in Vaal Road, Belthorn Estate.

I can be reached at faithhopeandlove for more information on this project.
