Carla Stewart, Leliebloem House, Crawford
Thank you so much for the article published on Wednesday March 6 for the Tinz 4 Friendz Campaign.
Our management is rather concerned by the dramatic headline, “Children’s home in dire need of food donations”.
We have been receiving feedback from our support partners within the community, thinking that we are on the verge of closure. This is not the kind of message that we want circulating out there in regards to our children’s home.
We have worked very hard to gain the support that we currently have with the public who are willing to assist us in various ways.
We are grateful to the two groups, Keep it 100 and Restoring Hope, that are raising the much-needed awareness in the community and who have initiated this campaign in support of our cause.
Leliebloem House are not selling tickets. This event is being run strictly by Keep it 100 Events, event coordinator, Megan Chandler, can assist with the sales of tickets. Call her on 079 426 2651.
The Athlone News regrets any misunderstanding that the headline might have caused.
