■ The City of Cape Town honoured its longest-serving nurses – who have between 20 and 35 years of service – on International Nurses Day, which was commemorated on Friday May 12. The theme for International Nurses Day was “Nurses: A voice to lead – Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals”. From left are, Mirande Maree, from Wesbank clinic, Judith Hendricks, from Manenberg clinic, Louisette Mundy, from Durbanville clinic, Glenda Wright, based at the Maitland head office, Marcelle Lakey from Valhallla Park clinic and Evelyn Tyutu from Luvuyo clinic. Ms Maree has 20 years of service, Ms Hendricks 27 years, Ms Mundy has 32 years, Ms Wright 35 years, Ms Lakey has 25 years and Ms Tyutu has 30 years of service.
