A 33-year-old man died after being shot in Manenberg on Saturday.
Manenberg police spokesman Captain Ian Bennett said one of three men who had drawn near to the man as he walked to Ruimte Road pulled out a gun and shot him as he ran for cover.
He collapsed and died in Kasouga Road.
The three men ran off and are still at large.
Police are investigating a murder.
