On Tuesday July 4, a 20-year-old man was shot and fatally wounded while standing in Kei Street, Manenberg, close to Duinefontein Road.
Three men walked up to him and fired several shots, hitting him once in the head.
According to Manenberg police spokesman Captain Ian Bennett, residents rushed him to Heideveld Day Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.
A case of murder has been opened for investigation but no arrests have been made yet.
A 26-year-old man and 15-year-old boy were arrested for possession of drugs on Monday July 3. After receiving a tip-off that there were drugs at a home in Nellie Court, Manenberg, police followed up at 6pm and found the two suspects in the toilet and four large bags with uncut tik on top of the geyser, 200 mandrax tablets, and 109 units of tik, all valued at R5 000.
