A 42-year-old alleged gang member was shot and killed in Heideveld on Saturday March 10.
According to Manenberg police spokesman Captain Ian Bennett, the man had been with four other men in a silver car. They had dropped him off in Table Mountain Street.
As he had walked away from the car, a single shot had been fired from the car, hitting the man in the back of the head.
No arrests have been made.
The incident followed the shooting, two days earlier, of another 42-year-old suspected gang member.
According to police, he was on his way to a shop, in Lainsberg Road, on Friday March 8, when armed men gunned him down.
The man’s killers are still at large.
Lansdowne detectives are looking for a man accused of stabbing a 24-year-old man multiple times on Sunday February 3, at about 3am.
According to Lansdowne police spokesman Sergeant Nkululeko Mnyaka, the victim told police that the suspect, Vernon Fester, had hit him with a bottle or a glass on his head and had stabbed him in the back of his neck after going clubbing with him. Police are investigating an attempted murder.
