Hanover Park-based non-profit organisation She-Chem, held a Mothers’ Day event at the Blomvlei community centre on Tuesday May 23. The organisation, founded by resident Carol van Wyk, aims to build a better community through caring for the welfare of children, disabled people and senior citizens as well as family relations. This was the 12th annual event of its kind, and Ms Van Wyk said the day was all about showing appreciation to the mothers.
