A 22-year-old was killed, and a 21-year-old and 19-year-old wounded in a shooting in Heideveld, on Friday March 24.
Manenberg police spokesman Captain Ian Bennett said it is alleged that the three men had been sitting on the stairs in Allison Court when an unidentified man walked through the flats and fired several shots in the direction of the men, hitting the 22-year-old in the head and chest and injuring the 21- and 19-year-olds.
The suspect fled the scene on foot and is yet to be arrested. Cases of murder and attempted murder are being investigated.
The men were taken to Heideveld Emergency Centre for treatment.
On Wednesday March 22 the body of a 63-year-old woman was found in her house at John Turf Road, Hanover Park.
Neighbours became suspicious when they did not see the woman outside since Friday March 17. They then called the police who found her body shortly after 5pm with an open wound to her head.
A case of murder has been opened for investigation and no arrests have been made yet.
