Pads needed

A Bridgetown-based non-profit organisation, Bridgehouse Foundation, distributed sanitary pads and hosted a health awareness talk at Cypress Primary School on Tuesday February 22.The foundation has set a target to distribute 2022 sanitary pads to women and girls across the Cape Flats, and has so far managed to collect more than half of that amount. According to the founder, Tamsin October, her foundation has been inundated with requests for sanitary towels from other non-profit organisations and individuals, as the need is so great. On the day of the handover, the foundation was supported by the Red Cross Society, Lady C from Radio Awakening, Samantha Adams from Helping Hand Academy, and Sebastian Haricombe from Hope Schoolwear Project. If you can assist, contact Ms October at 076 548 1486.
