Police are looking for the three men who robbed an Athlone clothing store last week.
The men entered the Pep store, in George Street at 11.45am on Thursday March 19 and threatened the staff.
According to Athlone police spokeswoman Sergeant Zita Norman, they ordered the manager to hand over the panic button and open the safe.
They took 71 cell phones, 20 Pep money cards and cash before fleeing in a grey BMW.
Police have arrested a 23-year-old Manenberg man after a train passenger was robbed of his violin and laptop between Koeberg and Salt River stations on Friday March 13.
The victim reported the incident on social media. The next day, Manenberg police arrested the suspect on a charge of possession of stolen property after they were tipped off about a man trying to sell a violin on the corners of Jakes Gerwel and Klipfontein roads in Athlone.
A robbery case has been registered at Woodstock police station.
The violin was recovered and is back with the owner.
