Bridgetown Theatre Company (BTC) will stage CUBE, a dance drama production, at the Baxter Theatre, on Saturday October 14, at 2pm, the final day of the Baxter Dance Festival.
CUBE uses the six-coloured Rubik’s Cube as metaphor for “youth in transit”. It has a six-member cast – Meagan Booysen, Carren Davids, Melanie Jacobs, Jermaine Hendricks, Hayden Grecia and Mujahid Kamish – and 12 supporting dancers: Leolynn Draaghoender, Anuscha Dixon, Zahra Hendricks, Carryn Botha, Zimkitha Miya, Ashlynn Jacobs, Keisha Morkel, Melissa Jacobs, Chelsea Dues, Beulah Masurinam, Nomahlubi Dike and Vanashnee Stemmet.
CUBE is produced and choreographed by Carren Davids with musical composition by Mark Goliath. Tickets are R40 and available from Computicket.

BTC will hold registration at Bridgetown Community Centre on Saturday October 21, at noon, for performers between the ages of 13 and 80 for next year’s Cape Town Carnival. It is not an audition and no experience is needed.
Rehearsals will be twice a month on a Saturday, from 10am to noon, from November to March next year.
