The Vaudeville Companions, a group of performers from Fish Hoek, hosted a variety show for seniors from Athlone on Thursday August 10 at the Athlone civic centre. The members of the group volunteer their time and talent to entertain seniors and disabled people throughout the Cape Peninsula. The Athlone-based organisation, Community Care and Welfare Association, used this opportunity as a fundraiser, where seniors were asked to pay a nominal fee for the variety show, in order to help the association with their projects which they host for free.
