Bonteheuwel’s PJ Twins – Peter and John Telmarkes – made it to the finals of The Voice SA but the top spot was not to be theirs, as Brackenfell’s Tasche Burger walked off with the title.
During this evening’s finale at the Mosaiek Teatro in Johannesburg, Eon le Roux was voted off first, followed by the PJ Twins and then Siki Jo-Ann and finally Soné Joubert.
Nineteen-year-old Tasche, the youngest of the finalists, said she was ecstatic about her win and that the feeling was “quite surreal”.
“My advice to future contestants is to grab each opportunity with both hands and give it all you’ve got,” she said.
The PJ Twins encouraged all youth to explore their talents no matter what their circumstances and said that although they had not been crowned the winners they had achieved so much and were still winners to their fans, family, and of course themselves.
