Police arrested a 52-year-old woman from Kampies informal settlement in Philippi, on Wednesday November 4, after seizing dagga and 100 litres of liquor.
According to Philippi police spokesman, Captain Lance Goliath, officers found dagga worth R750, various brands of liquor and an undisclosed amount of cash.
On the same day, police arrested a man in Philippi, with mandrax; five men and two women in Hanover Park with crystal meth and mandrax; and two men in Hanover Park for carrying knives.
One of them also had police-issue pepper spray.
