Police are investigating after a 48-year-old woman was injured in a drive-by shooting in Bonteheuwel on Tuesday July 28.
Police say the woman was shot multiple times in her back and legs from a passing VW Polo in front of her Bluegum Street home, at 3:45pm. The car then sped off.
She was taken to a nearby hospital and is a stable condition.
Bishop Lavis police spokesman, Warrant Officer Joseph Swartbooi, said the shooting could be gang related.

Police arrested two men in Bonteheuwel on gun charges on Monday July 27 .
According to police, officers responding to a shooting spotted two men, one with a gun, in Rosewood Street. They arrested the man and seized the gun, a loaded Silver Star 9mm, which the man had dropped. Later, just before midnight, officers patrolling Bluegum Street arrested a 33-year-old man carrying a loaded Carl Walther 9mm pistol.
