Michael Bagraim, Highlands Estate
I have been involved with the Association for Persons with Disabilities for the past two decades in a senior position on their committee.
One of the issues has always been transport for the disabled. The latest investment, R17 million, by the City of Cape Town in the new Dial-A-Ride fleet is fantastic.
The investment in the new fleet of 13 vehicles will certainly be of enormous help (“City invests R17m in new Dial-a-Ride fleet”, Athlone News, January 12).
I wish to thank mayoral committee member for urban mobility Rob Quintas for the hard work done behind the scenes in ensuring that this fleet becomes a reality.
Much strength to Mr Quintas’s arm in all his endeavours in ensuring that urban mobility in our beloved City goes smoothly.
