South Africa, our lovely land,
But so hard to understand,
We have so much to share,
But nobody seems to care.
So much violence and crime,
Everyone say: this land is mine;
We all belong here,
And shouldn’t live in fear.
Women and children are killed every day;
Children don’t even know how to play,
Prisoners in our own homes,
Scared and alone.
Farm killings take their toll,
Bringing fear to us all;
Corruption has no end,
How will our country ever mend?!
So much violence, racism and hate,
Is it really too late?
A change of heart is what we need,
Without it, we will never succeed.
