The Cape Town Concert Series is presenting musicians of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra (CPO) in The Other Side, the first of a series of concerts in which the musicians show another facet of the musical personalities.
The concert will take place at the Baxter Concert Hall on Saturday April 24, at 11am.
On the programme are the Shostakovich Chamber Symphony (Op 110 b) Timpani with guest leader Farida Bacharova; the Mozart Serenade for Winds in E flat (Octet) K375; Three Duets for Violin and Viola with Samantha Durrant and Maja van Dyk; and a Divertimento by Mozart and Battle Suite by Samuel Scheidt, both arranged for brass by the CPO Brass Quintet.
The musicians will take questions after the concert. There will be no interval in the 70-minute concert and no refreshments will be sold.
To remain within Covid restrictions, only 80 seats will be sold and all protocols will be in place.
Tickets can be bought at Webtickets at R190 or R160 for concessions.
