First aid workshop

Over 50 children attended the free first aid workshop for children hosted by the Helping Hands Academy at the Athlone library on Saturday March 11.The topics covered were how to control bleeding; first aid for broken bones; contents of a first aid kit; how to call an ambulance and how to treat burns. Pupils from Rondebosch East, Sunnyside, St Raphaels, Alicedale, Thornton, Garlendale, Arcadia, Mimosa, Portia and Groote Schuur primary schools were among those who attended.
