The City of Cape Town’s Home Ownership and Transfer Department Offices in Hanover Park will be relocated to Lansdowne as of Saturday December 1.
The relocation will allow for easier and more user-friendly services.
The relocation of the housing office from Hanover Park to the newly renovated offices at the corner of Govan Mbeki and Jan Smuts streets, Lansdowne, will streamline service delivery and ensure safer and easier access to City services. The offices in Lansdowne will not, however, serve as a cash receiving office.
Tenants living in City rental units in the Hanover Park and surrounding areas will be able to access the following services from the new office: indigent grant rental relief, transfer of tenancies, rental sales, housing information branch enquiries (waiting list), service notifications (C3), unlawful occupation, managing illegal activities/anti-social behaviour, general administration, managing allocation of vacant units.
Residents and tenants who would like to enquire or to log their transfer requests can do so by phoning the call centre on 021 444 0333, sending a WhatsApp to 063 299 9927 or by sending an email to MyEstate@capetown.gov.za
The City of Cape Town appeals to the public to be patient during the relocation and to make use of the details above to access services during the relocation process.
