More than 100 children took part in a sports day at Read and Read to Lead’s Scheldt Road premises in Manenberg on Saturday. The literacy project’s new sports field was funded by a German non-profit organisation, RTL Wir Helfen Kindern. Read and Read to Lead founder and director Mary Harding thanked RTL Wir Hekfen Kindern and another non-profit organisation, Help in Time (HIT), for helping to make the day possible. The children all received medals, treats and a warm meal.All the children who took part in the sports day received medals.Vivian Przybilla, with the ball, from Help in Time (HIT), joined in one of the netball games.
