The City of Cape Town’s Mayoral Urban Regeneration Programme Department will be hosting community events in Manenberg and Hanover Park this month.
The Manenberg Community Arts Festival will be held on Saturday December 14, from 2pm until 8pm, in Manenberg Avenue, at the circle.
Community artists will be given the platform to exhibit a variety of art forms and the event will culminate with a music concert featuring headline artists such as Don Vino, Mujahid George, Niyaaz Goolam, Novocaine Theband, and community artists, including Darion Adams, Bradley Pipers, Aziza and Phoenix.
The Hanover Park Night Market/ Festive Lights switch on will take place on Saturday December 21 in Hanover Park Avenue, from 7am until 2pm.
Activities include children’s games and a fun walk.
The music concert is from 2pm until 10.30pm and will feature Jonathan Rubain as the music director, artists, Loukmaan Adams, Jarrad Ricketts, Alistair Izobell, Joedhouse Band and Sean van Sion plus a number of local community artists and DJs.
