Three people have been arrested and R100 000 worth of stolen tools and other equipment recovered following a burglary at a Lansdowne business, say police.
Responding to a tip-off, officers had arrested two women, aged 52 and 22, at 6.30am on Tuesday, as they sold some of the stolen property under the Lansdowne Bridge, said Lansdowne police spokesman Sergeant Nkululeko Mnyka. And, an hour later, they had arrested a 22-year-old man in Hanover Park with more stolen property.
All of the property had been stolen during a burglary at a Garnet Road business in Lansdowne sometime between Saturday August 12 and Monday August 14, he said.
