Two Heideveld men have been arrested in separate incidents for illegally carrying guns, say police.
On Tuesday February 6, at 5.10pm, officers on patrol arrested a 31-year-old man in Table Mountain Road after he was allegedly found carrying a .38 Special revolver, said Manenberg police spokesman Captain Ian Bennett.
The man was directly linked to an earlier shooting in the area in which a 30-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy had been wounded, he said.
A 33-year-old man was arrested in Falcon Road shortly before 9am on Wednesday February 7 after officers acting on a tip-off stopped and searched him and found a 357 Magnum, said Captain Bennett.
