On Sunday November 20, two men aged 16 and 33 were fatally wounded in Manenberg.
Manenberg police spokesman Captain Ian Bennett, at 3.30pm police were called out to the scene of the shooting at 14 Lilian Court in Usk Road, Manenberg.
When they arrived, police found the body of the 33-year-old man who had been shot in his head and lower abdomen. The 16-year-old had been shot five times in his upper body. He was rushed to Heideveld Emergency Centre where he later died.
Captain Bennett said it is alleged that the two victims had been sitting with friends when a group of men approached them and one of them fired several shots at the victims and then fled the scene on foot. He added that the motive for the shooting was unknown. A case of murder has been opened for investigation and no arrests have been made yet.
