Vanessa Nelson, Hope for the Future founder
Hope for the Future is a non-profit organisation managed by dedicated volunteers in making a difference to the various communities we serve, such as Heideveld, Bonteheuwel and Blikkiesdorp.
So many people live in abject poverty. Our motto is to educate, eradicate and eliminate. We have more than 20 programmes and not one of it is funded by the government. We strive to uplift and serve our “extended families” with absolute pride and we never compromise in all that we do.
Our annual Easter campaign where we hand out pickled fish, hot cross buns, Easter eggs, and marshmallows is no different.
We have been struggling to get support for our programme for Easter 2024. It is a time for sharing, especially around this time of the year and in bringing smiles to so many children as we make no distinction and serve any child and cultures. The smiles are so fulfilling – to see a child’s face light up when given an Easter egg or pickled fish, etcetera.
We would appreciate any form of donation towards our Easter campaign in order to make this event successful to many disadvantaged children and communities.
Our history in ensuring the work we do is transparent. Attached is a photo from last year’s event which was held in Bonteheuwel.
Our office is situated on the first floor, Heideveld Centre, Ascension Road, Heideveld. Contact us on 076 073 6777 or the office at 021 023 2870.
