Brian was a fighter for consumer rights

Martin Slabbert, Kenilworth

I learned with great sadness of the death of one of the best known names and icons in Cape Town journalism. Brian Joss is someone that I have had the pleasure of working with, since those early days in the 2000s when I started working in media and communications.

His “Off My Trolley” weekly columns have always been very popular, and he established a reputation for himself as a fighter for consumer rights.

His passing leaves a massive hole that I know for sure can never be filled.

I would like to take this opportunity to extend my deepest condolences to his family, his friends, and all his colleagues in the journalism fraternity. We will miss you Brian.
