Manenberg police arrested five people after drugs worth R30 000 were found at a house in Stormsriver Road on Sunday January 15.
Captain Ian Bennett, spokesperson for Manenberg SAPS, said police raided the premises after receiving information about drug dealing there.
A 16-year-old boy, three men from the ages of 34 to 41, and a 26-year-old woman were arrested.
Said Captain Bennett: “Man-
enberg SAPS crime prevention unit conducted a search of the address and found a large quantity of assorted drugs hidden in the house.
“These include 52 grams of tik, nine mandrax tablets, five straws of tik, 22 sticks of dagga, one parcel of dagga and one carrier bag filled with dagga.

R30000 and R779.10 cash was also confiscated.
“The five people were at home at the time of the search and no one took responsibility for the drugs being in the house.
“They were taken into custody and will be appearing in Athlone Magistrate’s Court soon.”
